The Estruagua T-Rake Dual is an automatic bar screen with a dual cleaning system, integrating two independent solid removal mechanisms in a single structure installed in the sewage channel. This concept ensures continuous operation even under heavy solids load conditions, since while one mechanism is operating, the other can be inspected or maintained without interrupting screening.
Designed for coarse and medium screening, the T-Rake Dual is ideal for the inlet of municipal WWTPs, pumping stations and industrial facilities where the reliability of pretreatment is critical. Raw effluent flows through the channel and meets the inclined bar screen of the T-Rake Dual. Coarse and fibrous solids are retained by the bars while liquid passes freely. Two independent rakes, driven by electric gear motors, cyclically travel the bars from bottom to top, collecting retained solids and depositing them in the discharge conveyor at the top of the unit.
The "dual" mode allows both rakes to operate alternately or in parallel, increasing cleaning frequency and ensuring the screen never blinds. The collected material is discharged onto the conveyor or collecting trough and directed to the waste container. An electrical panel with PLC automatically manages the cleaning cycles, timers and fault alarms.
